The 6th edition of the 'Festa del Nòrdic' will take place next weekend at the Cota 2.000 of Naturland. Two days designed for family sports in the cross-country skiing circuit of the activity centre. "The 'Festa del Nòrdic' has become a classic, an annual event that the clubs in the surrounding area, especially in the Catalan Pyrenees, look forward to season after season", said the consul major of Sant Julià de Lòria, Josep Mayoral.
On Saturday the Skicross and the Biathlon will be held, and on Sunday the Marcha Andorra Fondo. As explained by the director of LAUesport, Oscar Balcells, the Skicross and Biathlon are aimed at children aged between 10 and 18. The first consists of a circuit with different skill stations with skis and the second is a cross-country skiing and shooting test with compressed air carbines.
As for the Nordic Walking, it will be open to everyone. It is a popular freestyle race in which participants will have to choose whether to complete a 5 or 10 kilometre circuit. In addition, it can be done individually or as a family, with a minimum of 3 participants (at least one adult). At the end of the race, there will be a meal of fraternity. Last year, around 225 people took part.
