The snails "a la llauna"

The snails "a la llauna" is one of the traditional recipes of the Principality of Andorra. It is a dish with a lot of charisma and personality that you can't miss, do you dare to try it?


-0.5kg of bover snails

-Olive oil




1- Wash the snails with a lot of water to remove all traces of sand or dirt.

2- Place the snails facing up in a specific can to cook them.

3- Cook the snails over low heat for 5 minutes

4- Turn the heat to high temperature for 5 minutes or until the snails are ready, when its meat has a golden hue.

5- Sprinkle the snails with oil, salt and pepper to the consumer's taste.

6- You can accompany the dish with a vinaigrette, which is made with 6 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and a pinch of salt and pepper.
